While on campus, he was honored by conducting a ceremonial puck drop during the men’s hockey intrastate rivalry game between the ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ Cadets and visiting Vermont State University – Castleton Spartans.
ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ recently celebrated the enduring bonds of its alumni community during a successful ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ Alumni Networking Social, held in conjunction with a visit to the JFK Non-Commissioned Officer Academy at Fort Liberty, NC. The event highlighted ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ’s commitment to fostering lifelong connections and educational opportunities for its alumni and current students.
On November 16, 2024, the ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ AI Center, in collaboration with ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ Applied Research Institutes (NUARI), hosted a unique one-day event focused on "AI and Humanitarian Disaster Response" for high school students and new ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ students hoping to learn about AI, all inspired by a challenge from Vermont Senator Peter Welch.
It was an outstanding evening for ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ, with two exceptional faculty members, Dr. Tara Kulkarni, Associate Provost for Research and Chief Research Officer, and Dr. Sarah Gallant, Assistant Professor and Interim Chair of Chemistry and Biochemistry, named finalists, and one attaining the highest honor.
Through a competitive selection process, ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies (CGCS) has appointed Bill Lyons to oversee and facilitate cybersecurity, diplomacy, and strategic studies programs and Dr. Robin Saunders as the Cybersecurity and Information Systems Academic Director.
