Summer Research Fellowships

Summer Research Fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis to support creative or scholarly projects. Students may apply for these faculty-mentored fellowships at either a six-week ($3,000) or ten-week ($4,800) commitment level.

Students typically work on a research project of their own design, which can include lab work, fieldwork, and even travel. We've had students pulling samples from ponds, going overseas to study architecture, digging into archives, and so on. The student does the work under the mentorship of a professor, who offers feedback and guidance throughout the project.
