Class of 1985 40th Reunion Dinner

Dear Class of 1985:

We are excited about our 40th Reunion this upcoming fall. Given the disruption of COVID, it will now be 10 years since we have had an opportunity to get together like this. The reunion committee is planning a special weekend—we are looking forward to it and planning to attend. Forty years ago seems like a long time ago, but many of our best memories of those years seem like they occurred yesterday.  

Homecoming Weekend is September 19-21. We currently have no class events planned for Friday evening. Saturday we will meet for the Alumni Parade at 9 a.m.. for the Sabine Field march on. Our class dinner will be Saturday night at Sugarbush Resort. We recommend you make your lodging reservations now as we expect great attendance this year.

Chuck Nettleship has done a fine job picking out class swag that will make us look slimmer and damn sexy! Information on all of it and how to get it will be posted shortly.

Regarding our class gift, we will be reaching out in the months ahead. No amount is a bad amount and the University has done a superior job in making almost any element of the University eligible for your support. As you may recall, the Class of 1985 established the Colonel Gerald Chikala Scholarship many years ago. It remains active and supporting students and is but just one of many options for our support.
