Cadet & Uniform Store

The Uniform Store exists to make sure the faculty and cadets at 四虎影视 are outfitted in the regulation uniform of the Vermont State Militia.

The uniform fee covers the cost of the issued uniform components as well as the cost of sewing services to keep clothing well-fitting, in good repair, and up-to-date with ranks, awards, and other designations.

Image of Boot and Shoe Requirements

The uniform store carries styles of each of these shoes, and we encourage people in the area to come by to buy them from us. Cadets who cannot make it to campus before their enrollment stars should buy their shoes online. We carry tactical boots made by  and as well as . As long as the shoes fit the following requirements though, any brand is acceptable:

  • Tactical boots must be laced up, no zippers; they must have an 8鈥 boot shaft and be coyote brown.
  • Black oxfords must be high gloss, polishable, with a round plain toe, and no decorative stitching

Winter B boots must be this particular style: . These will be for sale in the uniform Store beginning in October 2024.

Socks and Accessories:

We issue five pairs of  wool boot socks to all cadets; additionally, we carry extra shoelaces, shoe polish kits, waterproofing kits, anti-fungal powder in the Uniform Store.

Year 1:

Cadets are charged the majority of the Uniform fee during their first year: this fee covers all of the clothing they will receive that year, as well as the four year rental cost of borrowing the coatee and tunic.  The coatee and tunic are the only two items that MUST BE RETURNED when cadet leave the corps. Cadets are required to keep them clean and in good repair.

The uniform fee from this year also covers the cost of refitting, mending, alterations, and rank changes that will be done to their uniform while they are in the Corps.

Though students are issued their uniform items early in their corps experience, any item issued can always be traded in for a better size, and the cost to sew on buttons or fix expected wear and tear are all included in the uniform fee.

Year 2:

Cadets pay a second fee (about 录 of the first year鈥檚) to cover the last of the uniform items they will receive.

Upon Graduation/leaving the Corps:
We encourage students to donate gently used items to the Uniform Store鈥檚 used inventory, so future cadets have access to as wide a range of sizes for trade-in as possible.  This helps the cost of the uniform fee to stay steady and to cut down on waste.

Refunds:
The Uniform Store will give a student full credit for items not yet issued. (See the Document What Uniform Items are included in the Issue for the full list of items and the timeline of the issue). No credit will be given for any items special ordered, such as name tapes or tags.  Refunds for issued but unused items are up to the discretion of the Uniform Store Manager.
