ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ holds annual Convocation for the class of 2027

The 2023 Convocation Ceremony was held the afternoon of August 29. The Class of 2027 and attendees of this year's ceremony were greeted with a special message from President Mark C. Anarumo, Provost and Dean of Faculty Karen Gaines, and Commandant William F. McCollough.

The Convocation Ceremony that brings together the ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ community, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni, to commemorate the university's founding principles and celebrate the pursuit of knowledge, leadership, and service.

The slides below showcase just some of the ceremony where ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ celebrated the academic success of returning students, officially welcomed all first year students, and challenged everyone to go beyond what they otherwise thought possible.

 

Convocation is a meaningful gathering that marks the beginning of each academic year, embodying the essence of unity, purpose, and scholarly pursuit. This annual tradition serves as a reminder of the enduring legacy that ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ imparts to its community, shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

As part of this year's Convocation, the students of the class of 2027 and other attendees were greeted with a special video message featuring President Mark C. Anarumo, Provost and Dean of Faculty Karen Gaines, and Commandant William F. McCollough.

Commandant Announces Regimental Commander for AY 2025-26

BG William F. McCollough, VSM, Commandant and Vice President for Student Affairs, ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ Class of 1991, has announced that Cadet First Sergeant Matthew S. Ober '26 will serve as the Regimental Commander for the academic year 2025-26. This position is the highest rank among cadets in the Corps.
