    • Shapiro Field House

All students graduating with a ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ master's degree are invited to attend a traditional academic hooding ceremony on Friday, May 2 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Shapiro Field House. Reception to follow in Doyle Hall.

Hooding Ceremony

The Hooding Ceremony is a special recognition ceremony for master's candidates. During the ceremony, a faculty member places the master's hood over the head of the graduate to signify their success in completing the graduate program.

The ceremony is similar to a graduation in that there is a processional and a recessional, and faculty and graduates are dressed in academic regalia. Students will be responsible for purchasing their own academic regalia. Details will be distributed at a later date.

Tickets are not required for this event but we do ask that you sign up to attend and let us know how many guests you are bringing. There is a separate registration for the Commencement ceremony.
