Improving health and human performance takes a team.

Gain the advantage of an interdisciplinary approach that focuses on physical movement and hands-on learning. As part of our programs, you will learn in the classroom and the field with a variety of physical education, health science, and exercise science students. We'll prepare you for the rigors of health-related graduate programs and careers.

Exercise Science Major

Learn the science behind how exercise positively affects the human body. Use this knowledge to become an educator who can guide others to improve fitness and avoid injury through professions like personal training, strength and conditioning coaching, clinical exercise physiology, and physical therapy.

Health Science Major

If you are interested in a career in high-growth healthcare fields, our Bachelor of Science program in Health Science provides you with two great options: Pre-Professional Health careers and an Accelerated Master's of Athletic Training program.

Internships are available in your chosen field including Physical Therapy (PT), Physician's Assistant (PA), Occupational Therapy, and other growing careers.

Physical Education

Become an expert on the human body as you learn effective teaching and curriculum planning in a rigorous, science-based program.

Plus! You can receive a teacher licensure and loan reimbursement if you stay in Vermont and teach for two years.

Hands-On Learning Collaboration

Students participate in local events that help the community including the Special Olympics Vermont Soccer event on Sabine Field.

5 Years

to Receive Your Masters in Athletic Training

Earn your master's degree in just 5 years. You'll pursue three years of undergraduate studies and two years of master's studies. Already have a bachelor's degree? Consider taking your education to the next level with our two-year Master's of Athletic Training degree.

The Athletic Training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

 

 

Physical Education & Teacher Education

The Physical Education & Teacher Education preparation program is accredited by the Vermont Agency of Education Results-Oriented Program Approval (ROPA).

Exercise Science Accreditation

The Exercise Science program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
